Did you know that "Balzac", the hamlet closest to us, and also being the
closest Post Office, the municipality we list as our address, is
named after Honore de Balzac - a French Author? No, I didn't
think you did! Then again, neither did I until late
2000. Apparently Van Horne named Balzac Balzac after his favorite author
Balzac, and the name Balzac first appears on CPR maps in 1909.
